"... a child who seemed very much alone in the world was now a high school student working her way through the adoption process!" - Kimberly, CASA Volunteer

Symphony was a beautiful thoughtful eleven-year-old when a CASA was requested for her. She had health conditions that her biological parent was unable to manage. Because of her special health needs, a new placement was a challenge. She had very few relationships outside of her biological mother and grandmother. Her friendships and schooling had been disrupted by several moves across the country.

As a result, Family Connections contacted her grandmother who lived out of state. CASA arranged for the grandparents to visit Symphony here in California. Then for her CASA flew Symphony across the country to visit them in their home. Shortly after, Symphony was placed with them. As a result, a child who seemed very much alone in the world was now a high school student working her way through the adoption process! She’s also enjoying extended family relationships that she didn’t even know she had.
