As Program Director at Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County, Jenny Leon oversees half of the case supervisor staff. Additionally, she is responsible for maintaining the CASA child waitlist and matching process and coordinating the annual CASA Picnic and Holiday Parties for children and advocates. She has served in many capacities since joining the CASA team full time in 2009. Leon previously served as CASA Director of Training, overseeing the initial and ongoing training of volunteers, and CASA Case Supervisor, providing regular support and supervision to CASA volunteers. She also worked as a CASA Program Associate from 2005-2006.
Jenny Leon has worked with children and families in a variety of roles over the past 10 years including in the role of Children’s Social Worker with Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services as well as a Substitute Teacher with Orange Unified School District. She has also served as a School Social Work and Counseling Intern, Preschool Teacher’s Aid, and “Big Sibling” Mentor with Boston University’s Siblings program.
Jenny Leon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Boston University and her Masters in Social Work at California State University, Long Beach. She also earned a Pupil Personnel Services Credential during her Masters work.
