David Fisher was appointed to CASA’s Board of Directors in October 2015 and also joined the board’s finance committee. Though he was introduced to CASA only recently, he is excited for the opportunity to help the organization in its mission to improve the lives of Orange County’s foster youth.
David is a managing director and product manager at PIMCO, a global asset management firm based in Newport Beach. He joined PIMCO as the product manager for global bond strategies and now heads the group responsible for the firm’s full suite of fixed income products. He also plays a leading role in the development of new products and strategies as the chair of PIMCO’s new product committee.
Prior to joining PIMCO in 2008 David spent 15 years as a portfolio manager in New York. Most recently he was head of global fixed income at HSBC’s asset management arm, and prior to that he worked at Credit Suisse and Fischer Francis Trees and Watts. David received his bachelor’s degree in Asian history from Princeton and went on to spend two years as a teacher in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou before starting his career in investment management.
David and his wife Michelle live in Laguna Beach with twin teenagers, Lola and Sebastian, their newborn son, and chocolate lab, Coco.
