Todd Smith is a business litigation attorney. He represents companies and individuals in a variety of business disputes, including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims, financial services litigation, real estate disputes, protection of intellectual property rights, and unfair competition claims. He also regularly defends law firms and lawyers in legal malpractice actions. Todd is experienced in all phases of litigation, including trials, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals, as well as regulatory proceedings and internal investigations.
Todd is an active member of several local and national Bar organizations and has written and spoken on a variety of legal topics, including presenting Continuing Legal Education courses on legal ethics and professional responsibility issues. Since 2015, Todd has been actively involved with CASA, including acting as a certified CASA mentor/advocate on behalf of foster youth in Orange County.
Todd lives in Newport Coast with his wife and three children, who allow him to constantly hone his dispute resolution skills even at home. In his spare time, he enjoys surfing, coaching soccer, running with his dog, and anything else that gives him an excuse to spend time outdoors.
