Anaheim Public Library has a card tailored for foster youth that allows direct access to necessary educational resources without the need for a guardian. Anaheim Public Library is the first in Orange County to remove the guardian consent requirement and offer tailored library cards to foster care youth. The foster youth library card is available for those 18 and younger living in the foster care system, a group home, temporary living situation, in homelessness, or without proof of address. Youth can check out up to five items and will not accrue overdue fines.
