How can I track my progress through the CASA OC Training Program?
All trainees can see what units and paperwork items they need to complete by checking the Trainee Progress Tracker. This is a view-only link. Find your name and then scroll across to see what paperwork items you still need to complete.
What is Coassemble?
Coassemble is our online learning management system. This is where you complete all of your independent study hours. You must be invited to join, so check your email. If you have already created your profile and login, click here to view the Core Training Courses.
What should my references look for in the email you send?
Tell your references to look for an email from: “CASA Training” <training@casaoc.org>.” The subject line is “CASA of Orange County: Reference Survey.”
The email often ends up in people’s spam folder! Make sure your references check there for it. School and work domains often filter us out, so if your reference is having a hard time, we might want to try sending it to their personal email address. If you need to update any of your references, please email training@casaoc.org.
How can I contact the Training Team?
There are a number of ways to get a hold of the Training Team!
The entire training team shares the training@casaoc.org email so you can send any questions you have there (this is the fastest way to get your question answered).
You can schedule a phone call or video meeting with a member of the Training Team. click here to book a meeting.
Where can I find the Mandated Reporter Training?
You will receive the link to the Mandated Reporter Training via email. You are required to take the 2-hour General Training. Once you complete the training, we will automatically receive your certificate.
Do I have to wait until I've completed all the other chapters before I can complete the Trainee Paperwork Upload chapter?
No! While the rest of the chapters must be done in chronological order, you can complete the Trainee Paperwork Upload chapter at any time during the training.

How do I attend CASA-OC Training?
CASA OC Training is a 32-hour program consisting of online (self-paced) chapters and live classes. The live classes take place via zoom or in-person respectively.
How do I complete the online portion of CASA-OC Training?
The Training Team will send you a link to enroll on Coassemble. The content on Coassemble is split up into chapters, which you should complete in order. You are expected to complete pre-work chapters prior to attending the live classes. Refer to the Training calendar below for detailed pre-work requirements.
When does CASA-OC Training take place?
January, February, March, April, May, July, August, September, October, and November.
What should I do if I can't attend all of the live sessions in one month?
If you cannot attend all the live sessions in one month, you can make up the missing sessions the following month. We ask that once you begin training, you complete all the classes and requirements within two months. This will ensure that you retain all of the knowledge you gain. Please complete the required pre-work chapters as listed on the calendar before coming to each live session class.

We are always looking for ways to make training better! Please take a minute to complete our Training evaluation after each live session you attend. Once you complete the training program, we ask that you fill out the Overall Core Training Evaluation.
